SAND TO PADEL COURT
It is important to choose sand of the right quality when building a padel court. The sand is used as stabilizing infill of the carpet. This is so that it will have a long service life and function optimally on the field.
We offer washed and sorted natural sand for padel courts. The sand works for this purpose thanks to its purity, grain distribution and natural roundness.

What sand is used for padel courts?
Depending on the carpet and grass used, different sizes of sand can be chosen. Below you can see the different sand types and sizes we offer. 30 KT has the least grain and goes into the carpet easily, 45 KT is in the middle of sizes and 55 KT is the larger variety.

Padel court carpet
Padel courts are built with different types of carpets made of artificial grass, padel grass or curly grass.
How much sand is needed for a padel court?
The amount of padel sand needed can differ depending on whether the surface is outdoors or indoors. For a padel court that is 10×20 meters indoors, you need approx. 7.5 – 15 kg/m2 (i.e. 1.5-3 tons of sand) depending on the type of grass.

An indoor padel court usually needs less sand, but this mostly depends on the type of carpet and artificial grass used.

An outdoor padel court often requires more maintenance and changing the sand more often.
How do I lay out the sand?
The sand is placed in piles which are then swept into the carpet. It is important that the sand is distributed evenly over the padel court.
Change sand to padel court
To maintain a good playing quality, you need to maintain the padel court and clean it from dust and dirt. An outdoor padel court often requires more maintenance and changing the sand more often. When changing sand, an industrial vacuum cleaner is first used to empty and clean the padel court of old sand.
